History & Purpose

Our Background

Neptune Investments Group (NIG), established in September 2018, is a subsidiary of Neptune Investments Club (NIC), which was established in October 2013. NIG is as Self Help Group registered under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. The idea to come up with Neptune Investments was to encourage a saving culture among the youth.

NIC started with 10 members; Beatrice Moraa, Cydrick Adedej, Denis Nyarondia, Evance Barracks, Richard Onyiego, Samuel Nyang’u, Simion Abuya, Susan Nyabate, Victor Gesora and Winnie Moegi.

The initial arrangement of NIC was savings, investments and merry-go-round on a 50-50 basis of members’ contribution. Following immense interest of friends to join NIC necessitated the move to form NIG.
